Our office also recommends a dental cleaning and exam before an orthodontic consultation or before the placement of braces. This way your teeth or your children's teeth will be cavity free and sparkling clean before the treatment is started. Also, dental cleanings are much easier to do before braces are placed, for both the patient and the dentist.
